O SAVING VICTIM

O saving Victim, opening wide

The gate of heaven to man below

Our foes press on from every side.

Your aid supply, your strength bestow.

To your great name be endless praise,

Immortal Godhead, One in Three,

O grant us endless length of days

In our true native land to see.   Amen.

 OPENING PRAYER

Lord, Jesus Christ, | we are here to worship You | present in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar.  |  Through this act of adoration,  | we want to reaffirm our love for You.  | May our prayers of thanksgiving  | tell You how grateful we are  |  for all the You have done for us  |  and for our loved ones.  |  May our presence, in some way,  |  make amends to You  |  for our past indifference and our neglect of You  |  in our daily lives.  |  Give us the ability  |  to see our need of You and of each other.   |  Through this encounter with You,  |  help us to live together as You want us to live,  |  united by love, by understanding, by mutual concern.   |  We ask You to bless  |  Your chosen ones among us,  |  the poor, the sick and the lonely.   |  Finally, Savior of us all,  |  help us to use these minutes here with you  |  as a time of rededication.   |  Make our love for you and for all men  |  the diving force of our lives  |  so that others may see You through us.   |  Amen.

LET US PRAY

Almighty and everlasting God, look on the Heart of Your Son and on the praise and satisfaction He offers You for sinners.  In Your goodness pardon those who ask Your mercy in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with You for ever and ever.  Amen.

AN ACT OF FAITH

My God, I believe that You are one God in three Divine Persons, | Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  |  I believe that Your Divine Son became man,  | died for our sins, |  and will come to judge the living and the dead. | I believe these and all the truths | which the Holy Catholic Church teaches | because You, who cannot deceive nor be deceived,  | have revealed them to us.  Amen.

AN ACT OF HOPE

My God, depending on Your Almighty power, | endless mercy and promises,  |  I ask pardon for my sins,  | the help of Your grace, and life everlasting, |  through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer.  Amen.

AN ACT OF LOVE

My God, I love You with my whole heart and soul. | I love my neighbor as myself out of love for You. I forgive anyone who has offended me | and ask pardon of all whom I have offended.  Amen.

LET US PRAY

Lord Jesus Christ, Who said, “Ask, and you shall receive; seek and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you,” mercifully hear our prayers, and grant us the gift of Your divine charity, that we may ever love You with our whole hearts, and ever praise You.

Give us, Lord, a fear and love of Your holy name, for You never cease to direct and govern by Your grace those whom You instruct in the solidity of Your love, Who live and reign, world without end.  Amen.

DOWN IN ADORATION FALLING

Down in adoration falling,

Lo! The sacred host we hail;

Over ancient forms departing

Newer rites of grace prevail;

Faith for all defects supplying,

Where the feeble senses fail.

To the everlasting Father,

And the Son who reigns on high

With the Spirit Blest proceeding

Forth from each eternally,

Be salvation, honor, blessing

Might, and endless majesty.  Amen.

Priest:  Lord Jesus Christ, You gave us the Eucharist as the memorial of your suffering and death.  May our worship of the sacrament of your body and blood help us to experience the salvation you won for us and the peace of the kingdom where you live with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

All:  Amen

HOLY GOD, WE PRAISE THY NAME

Holy God, we praise Thy Name!

Lord of all, we bow before Thee!

All on earth Thy scepter claim,

All in Heav’n above adore Thee:  Infinite Thy vast domain,

 Everlasting is Thy Reign.

Hark, the loud celestial hymn,

Angel choirs above are singing!  Cherubim and Seraphim

In unceasing chorus praising,

Fill the Heav’ns with sweet accord,

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord.
