Convert of Saint Peter, who ordained him. Third pope. He ordained an undetermined number of priests during his reign, but almost nothing else is known about him. Martyr. May have been the Cletus that Saint Augustine of Hippo wrote about. He is mentioned in the Canon of the Mass.
