Saint Eulalia

c. 290 - c. 304

December 10

Also known as:  Aulaire; Aulazie; Eulalia of Barcelona; Eulalia of Merida; Olalla

Profile
From her early youth she wanted to be a martyr. During the Diocletian persecutions, when she was around 12-14 years old (sources vary), she went to the tribunal, and confessed her faith on her own. Martyred with Saint Julia of Merida.

Eulalia of Merida and Eulalia of Barcelona may or may not be the same person; the other alternate names listed are regional spelling variants. Each city claims her as their own, but the stories are remarkably similar, and each retains her own feast day.
