Crisis
Counseling for
individuals and families experiencing life changing events, i.e. sudden
death or illness, alcoholism/drug addiction, sexual abuse, violence, trauma,
etc.
Ongoing
Counseling for
individuals, couples, families to address and resolve relationship issues;
strengthen communications, problem solving and coping skills; to heal from
past abuse; to cope with stress, depression, anxiety, etc.
Spiritual
Direction to
increase ones awareness of the presence of God and to nurture a relationship
with and commitment to Jesus Christ.
Retreat
In Daily Life
for those wanting to deepen a personal relationship with and commitment to
Jesus Christ. The retreat is a seven month personal experience of the
spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius and is a blessed way for busy people to
grow spiritually. The retreat is offered from October thru April and
includes daily contemplative prayer, weekly sharing with 5 to 7 other
retreatants, and twice monthly sessions with a spiritual director. Brochures
are available.
Grief
Support Group
is held on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm.
Codependents
Anonymous
meetings are held Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm.
St.
John's Counseling Center
is located just west of the Priest's rectory and Seton Hall. Appointments
may be made by calling at 359-8539. Services are offered on a sliding scale
and no one is refused services due to inability to pay.
Joe
Froehle, parish
counselor and spiritual director, is a licensed professional counselor, a
licensed alcohol and drug counselor and a certified spiritual director. He
has 20 years experience in individual, marital, trauma and addictions
counseling and 10 years experience in spiritual direction.
