What is a Neighborhood Parish?

A neighborhood parish is a group of parishioners in a geographic neighborhood.  This allows reaching out and caring for the thousands of parishioners in St. Johns.

How is the Neighborhood parish defined?

The parish of St. John’s is 91 sq. miles.

Over 250 geographic areas have been identified each containing between 5-30 catholic families.

The Neighborhoods have been defined based upon the natural grouping within a geographic area. We also attempt to limit the number of families when possible. The Neighborhood Contact connects with fellow parishioners within their geographic area.
