Evangelization & Formation
Assist clergy in preparing parents who wish to have their child baptized.
Assist clergy in preparing couples for the sacrament of matrimony.
First Holy Communion preparation includes First Reconciliation. First Reconciliation preparation takes place during the Fall and First Communion during the Spring. First Communion Mass is celebrated in the Spring.
Middle School Confirmation includes catechesis through the Faith Formation program (either Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings), or through the curriculum at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (if attending).
Assist Non-Catholics who are curious about the Catholic Church and former Catholics who have left the church to find meaning, truth and community while exploring Catholicism together.
Children seeking to join the Catholic Church will attend the fall and spring semesters of the OCIA for Children program. Their journey of faith culminates in the beautiful Easter Vigil Mass when they become members of the Catholic Christian Community. The children attend class each Wednesday from 6:00 - 7:15 pm and beginning in late fall are required to attend Sunday mornings as well.
Become a Faith Formation Catechist for grades PK-4 through 5th Grade. Families can choose either Sunday mornings from 10:10 AM - 11:20 AM or Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM. All volunteers must be Safe & Sacred Trained.
Become a catechist for grades 6th-8th. Students will be taught a virtue-based curriculum, that is gender specific, team driven and service driven. Groups meet Sundays from 10:10 AM - 11:20 AM or Wednesdays from 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM.

Become a catechist for grades 9th - 12th. Teach youth how to grow their relationship with Jesus Christ, while making new friends and having fun! Youth Group meets Sundays from 6:45 PM - 8 PM (dinner is provided).

Catholic Young Adults is a group for the young adults of the parish (ages 18-35). We have socials, athletic events and opportunities for spiritual growth. This group typically meets on Sundays in the Fr. Larkin Room on the lower level of the Parish Center, as well as other times throughout the month.
At UCO Catholic Campus Ministry, we will strive to live out the vision of APOSTOLIC. The vision of the ministry is to live and serve together just as the Apostles did, as described in Acts 2:42: — “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
Join other Catholic men who respond boldly and courageously to the Holy Spirit's call. This group was formed to serve, protect and defend what God has entrusted to us as servant leaders of our homes, families, church and community.
Meetings occur Thursday mornings from 6:30 AM - 7:25 AM and consist of an independent topic and breakfast.
The purpose of the Women's Bible Study is to encourage and strengthen women of faith with knowledge of Scripture and the traditions of the Catholic Church that will be reflected in their hearts, homes, and communities. We strive to support each other in our daily walk as Catholic women through prayer and the practical application of the Bible lesson we are studying.
Studies occur Monday mornings from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM and Wednesdays from 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM.
The Moms of St. John's is a place for us to come together through the common bond of our Catholic faith and season of life. We hope to offer each other spiritual and social support in all of the joys and trials of motherhood (while creating a strong community for our children as well!)
Join us Wednesdays at 9:30 AM.
The Parents of St. John's serves the family structure: the domestic church. We hope to build strong Catholic families by providing a place for parents to get together for fellowship and spiritual growth with others in the same season of life.
This group typically meets Sundays during Faith Formation class.
